Jingle Belles had this prompt for the week:I looked at the picture and thought: "The colors are nice, but a tad boring. And the picture? Ho-hum and plain." I'll be honest people, it didn't really inspire me- especially for a Christmas card. But, I was not going to skip a card making opportunity to increase the volume of Christmas greetings. So, I went for it.
And you know what? I love it. It's simple, clean, easy and fresh. Just like the picture and just like the colors. Thank you, Jingle Belles, for the challenge. Isn't that really why we all play along? :)
Have a good night!
Love this! That music paper is great and I love the different stars, especially the embossed ones!
ReplyDeleteok, see, YEAH! that's *exactly* why i do challenges, too: 'cause sometimes the things i would NEVER do on my own turn into the BEST IDEAS!!! case in point: this ♥♥♥AMAZING♥♥♥ amanda card!!!!!!!!!! so much texture and interest you've worked in WITHOUT patterned paper, without ANYTHING overtly holiday...except one line of lyric in that gorgeous vintage music paper! two words: BRILL. IANT!!!!!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteYep! That's why we play - if it was easy and we weren't challenged, what's the point?!?! :) I LOVE this, so yeah, I think it was worth it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing!
So very glad you pushed through & found a way to make the design your own ... I adore the repeating stars, especially the negative space ... thanks so much for joining our jingle belles fun. (PS ... I'm having a heck-of-a-time getting the word verification to work on your blog ... I keep having to preview my comments before I can get them to actually post).
