A Weeks Worth...

Lots of fun stuff to share today... a weeks worth of news and creations!

It's been a whole seven days since my last post, and I apologize for that! It was so busy with the kids on spring break and I had a three days girls weekend! So, let me start the roll of events that happened:

I got a few new stamp sets in the mail. One from Papertrey and a couple from Paper Smooches. I love this monster and cute sentiment that I used from 2 sets of Paper Smooches stamps:

I taught Anna how to use my SLR camera. Of course her favorite photo op was of me chopping onions:

*Note: for those of you who have sensitive eyes and cry buckets when you chop onions, put on a pair of goggles. I keep them in the kitchen drawer. ;)

We made a trip to the Zoo, spent a day hiking, the kids saw the new movie "Hop," went fishing a couple of times, and had a few play dates:

We celebrated my sister-in-law's, my niece and my birthday:

And Mac finally lost his first tooth:

I'm pretty sure he holds the record for loosing his first tooth at such a late age... he's 8!

And last but certainly not least... I got word Friday night I am being *PUBLISHED* for the very first time in CARDS September 2011 issue!!! I am so excited. Persistence finally pays off. :) Thanks to those of you who really believed in me. You know who you are and I love you for it!

I have a TON of layouts, cards and a mini album that I did on my 3 day scrappin' trip with the girls. I just got back yesterday evening, so I haven't had a chance to photograph any of my projects. I will post them asap!

Welcome Spring!

I love spring... my birthday is in the spring, I got married in the spring, everything is fresh, new, and full of color. It's inspiring to see all the new buds and flowers popping up everywhere (no flowers in my yard, but you should see my mom's display of gorgeous tulips!) I do however have two flowering trees in my backyard that are stunning. This is my view out my kitchen and craft room; it's a Southern Magnolia (I think).

It's so pretty! We're supposed to get heavy rain tonight, so most of the big flowers will be gone by morning.

Animal Lover

Since Spring Break is this week, we have been lounging in our P.J.'s in the morning . No rushing out the door, yelling at everyone to get dressed, brush teeth, comb hair, eat breakfast... it's been a nice break to let the kids do their own thing in the morning.

Anna is my animal lover, she loves all animals big and small, stuffed or real. This is a picture of Anna and Wrigley this morning. Wrigley has his own blankie, but Anna always wants to make him more comfortable and loved by giving him her blankie and her favorite animals (Sparkles, the bunny and Love, the bear.) Then, she lays on him and watches her shows or drinks her milk. I think Wrigley loves it... he never tries to wriggle away! Wrigley is loving Spring Break too!

The Monkey Paper!

The cute pink monkey paper has been cut! I looked at it long enough and decided these pictures would be perfect with it! This is a page that I might give to my neice, Kendall for her birthday. I just love these pictures, they truly show the fun relationship between Kendall and Anna.


The second day of Spring Break has begun and I might loose my mind before week end. I did not intend to make a living of being a referee. Holy smokes, Anna could possibly take down Tyson in a match. She is a ball of fire. Yesterday I think I had to put her in time out about a dozen times, but she is the type that doesn't learn from her mistakes, but makes a game out of being

punished. That's the problem... she never feels punished because everything is fun!
