Sketchy Thursdays GDT Challenge

Sketchy Thursdays is having their challenge for the next Guest Designer for August. I loved the sketch, and let's face it, I'd love to be a guest designer for them too! ;) So, I gave it a whirl...
The sketch:

The Catch... use YELLOW and a HANDMADE EMBELLIE! tweet!

This is my take on the sketch:

My bird and the little felt flower are handmade by me:I love these pictures I used. I almost threw them away because they are a bit dark, but Elan was having so much fun on the beach at dusk searching around and looking at washed up things. I captured a moment I didn't want to forget. So glad I scrapped them!

My Treasures...

Hello, Darlings! Hope you all had a great Sunday! I wanted to share a layout I did a week or so ago and never had time to post it! These are precious pictures of my three little ones on the beach last year. I used the new Little Yellow Bicycle line: paper and the canvas adhesive borders- yum! I also used the Core'dinations paper in brown, tore the edges, then inked them to give the feeling of sand. Finished off with adhesive pearls, buttons, and fussy cut the starfish out of the paper. Sorry the pic is so bad... I was getting some serious glare and had to take it from another angel! :)
Enjoy! Night...

Trinkets Etsy Shop

I have discovered a wonderful Etsy shop... Trinkets. You will love it too! Look at these adorable creations:
This would be fabulous in my studio or in Anna's room...

And these would look so cute on a scrapbook page to frame for a little girls room, or on a headband, or as a brooch, or to attach to an art journal, or a picture frame, or...Be inspired... go create... but first, check out Trinkets shop. You'll love what you see! I did, and I can't wait to get the goodies I ordered! ;)

A new addition...

We welcome with love...

6 pounds and 4 ounces I am a proud aunt... again! I now have 11 nieces and nephews and love and adore each and every one of them! Our latest little angel, Graham, was born yesterday into my youngest brothers family. He is as beautiful and perfect as the rest of the babies in this family!
This is a glimpse of what part of the waiting room looked like yesterday. Nobody wanted to miss the birth, so family and friends gathered... patiently waiting.
Big sister, Lucy, got to go back and see the baby first. My brother, Adam, came out with her and let her announce if it was a boy or a girl. We were on pins and needles! Finally, she says,
"I have a baby BROTHER!"
My sister-in-law, Erin, looking stunning just after giving birth. Graham looks exactly like his older sister Lucy when she was born!

And did I mention that Graham is the third child in their family? Lucy is 3 and Bo is 17 months. Here are the two siblings with Erin's parents, Marsha and Dean.

You think things will be a tad bit busy at their house for a while? Like, for 8 more years! I'll be cooking for them this weekend!
Love and congrats to my brother, Adam, his wife, Erin and his beautiful family.

Fun & Cute "HI"

Moxie Fab World is having a challenge this week that coincides with their new magazine that has come out this month, Card Style. I am itching to get my hands on a copy of this mag... anyway, the challenge is to create a card in the category "Fun & Cute." I'm on it! I love fun and cute! So, here's my card:

Lovin' all the "fun & cute" goin' on here! In my book, there isn't much that's cuter than a birdie and some fun banners! Besides maybe polka dots, ribbon and buttons... If you want to participate in the Moxie Fab challenge, click HERE. Have fun!

A 2 Pager

Hello! Yes, it's been a while, but I have been painting and organizing and yes, a little crafting too, but no time to take pictures and post! Sketchy Thursday had a 2 page sketch for this week and at first, I looked at and *sigh* wanted to pass... but I came up with something anyway! Pictures that I adore in a place that I love... Harbor Town in Hilton Head, S.C.

The sketch:
My take:

I'll admit it, I hate doing 2 page layouts. I have gotten lazy and relied upon the American Crafts pocket pages to just slip my extra photos in next to a scrapped page. But, I really like this 2 pager... it has inspired me to try more.

Have a great night in your neck of the woods...
